synchronized milestones with different names

i have a visio timeline with an expanded timeline within it. the timeline
features an event named "inaugural site visit," and this appears on the
expanded portion, too, so a synchronized milestone has been created for it.
the thing is, i want the instance of the "site visit" milestone appearing in
the expanded timeline to be labeled "today" instead because this timeline
will be shown during a presentation given at the site visit. is there any
way to change one of these labels without changing the other at the same time.

I hope you don't mind ideas which may help others to find the solution.
I gave the milestone the description "aaaaaaaaa"
Then, with the SDK, I pasted the whole shapesheet in Word and found two
occurences of "aaaaaaaaa"
