Synchronizing an AD group with the Enterprise Resource pool

I'm evaluating MS Project Server 2003

When trying to synchronize an Active Directory group with the Enterprise
Resource pool it fails. Do you know why?

If I synchronize an Active Directory Organization Unit (which contains
users) to the Enterprise Resource Pool it works. Do you know why?

Hi Debbie,

I had this problem as well - I believe I found the answer in this
forum, but if you haven't been able to find it yet, my solution was
this...

I could only get the resource pool to synch successfully with users
who were not in any of the active directory groups that I synched with
project security groups. I found information on this in the
application event log. So, what I did, is I deleted all my project
users in Project Server, then created an active directory resource
group, synched that with the resource pool in project server, then
went back and remade my other groups and synched those with Project
Server's security groups. This worked fine. So the key seems to be,
put users in the resource group first, then synch them, then put them
in the other groups.

Seems like a flaky solution so if anyone knows a better one, I am all
ears!
