Synchronizing Email between Outlook 2003 and Outlook Express 6

I use Outlook Express 6 on my Notebook. Then on my tower computer I have
Outlook 2003. They are not synchronizing and causes me great problems to
have some email on one machine and the other email on the second machine.

I use Comcast.net for my email. Do I need to set something up there or is it
within my Outlooks that I need to configure?

Outlook and Outlook Express are completely separate programs that have
nothing in common. Accordingly there is no way anyone could or should
expect to synchronize them.

Short of using an IMAP account (or some other common server recognized by
the email clients), there is no way to synch email between any two different
email clients on different computers. For a POP3 account, you can use the
"Leave messages on the server" workaround. You tick the box to "Leave
messages on the server" in each client. But you need to manage the volume of
email on the server manually, to prevent from going over your email storage
limit. This workaround has no real automated means of managing your email
limit.

I use the leave message on the server and it works great. I just check delete
after soe number of days to keep me under the limit. My isp told me how to do
it and I never really have a problem with it. In Outlook it is in the Tools/
email accounts/ check view or change existing e-mail accounts and click next/
select account and click change/ click more settings/ then go to advance tab/
check leave a copy of messages on the server and remove from server after and
put in 4-5 days and the click ok on out of the windows. In Express it isn't
much different. Names a bit different but very similar. If you do get a lot
of email you may have to set the days lower but I would think 2 days maybe 3
would be enough. Hope this helps.
