Synchronizing outlook 2003 PST file on laptop with desktop

Hello,

I'm trying to use briefcase to synchronize my outlook.pst file on my laptop
with my desktop. But problem is that briefcase requires you to share the
folder so that you can drag into into the briefcase on the laptop. But with
XP and Outllook 2003, you cannot share the C:\Documents and
Settings\MyUserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook folder.
Other than moving the PST file location to a another location that i can
share, does anyone have a better solution to synchronizing outlook 2003 files
from laptop to desktop?

Going thru the procedure of sharing that particular folder allows you to set
it as a share and shows up as a share (a hand underneath folder) in the
explorer view. However, if you try to access that shared folder from another
PC you will get the messsage '\\hostname\foldername' is not acessible. Access
is denied.".

I believe in XP, because this particular folder belongs to a specific user
profile, you are will not be able to share it. Althought you can create a
share on such a folder, it seems like it's not accessible from a different PC
eventho permissions are setup. I thought i read it somewhere too.

Hello,
we released today a Beta version of EZOutlookSync- that is meant to do
just what you need. You basically show to the program the two *.pst
files, it
will compare them and bring updated data to each, or to one of them.
