Synchronizing, unsent msg's in outbox

S

Sandy E

In the taskbar, I get a flashing mail icon with the message "Microsoft Office
Outlook is synchronizing folders", which appears to be slowing down Outlook.
I also have mail in my outbox that will not send. I've seen solutions with
instructions on how to delete the mail - that's not what I need to know - I
need to know why occasional messages will not send.

ABOUT MY SYSTEM:

I have run Scanpst on all my pst files, it finds/repairs errors but the
problems persist. I've created a new profile - problem persists. There has
never been a pervious version of Outlook on this computer

My Setup:

Outlook: 2007 12.0.6300.5000 SP1 MSO 12.0.6213.1000
Mail accounts: 2 (each on different server)
Mail type: POP/SMTP
Send/Receive Settings: every 10 minutes
Data Files: 4 - Archive (2GB), Personal (~200MB), Group1 (~1GB), Group2 (~1GB)
Mail Folders: 100 easy
System: Lenovo X61, dual-core 2GHz, 2GB Ram, Windows XP, Office 2007
Outlook Add-ins: None
Anti-Virus: Uninstalled it and spyware detection for the purpose of
diagnosing this problem.
