Syncing Contacts, Calendar with Exchange Server 2007

I have a one person exchange 2007 hosted server account. When I make
a change on the Address Book (the one in the left pane on my computer,
not the one on the Exchange Server) or in the Calendar, it does not
update the one on the Exchange Server. Conversely, when I make a
change on the server contacts or calendar it is not reflected in a
change in those items shown in the On My Computer items in
Entourage. However, changes on the server are reflected on my iphone
instantly and vice versa.

All the settings at the server and in the Accounts section of
Entourage are correct, Entourage is not offline, and in Sync Services
in Entourage, it is set to Synchronize Contacts with Address Book,
with the Contacts on the Server then selected (also set to sync events
and tasks with ical and then the Calendar selected is the one on the
server. I have also done the Sync Now Command with Contacts and With
the Calendar.

I am out of ideas so any help would be appreciated.

That's because they don't go to the On My COmputer calendar and address
book. They go in an different one for your Exchange account. In the
calendar view for instance, you should see listed the On My Computer
calendar, but you should also see another one under the name of your
exchange account. Select it and it should all be there,

Corentin, are you saying that changes in the Contacts and Calendar 1)
must be made in the items shown on the left in Entourage as being on
Exchange Server and 2) that no changes ever made there will be
reflected in the address book and calendar shown on the left as being
On My Computer?

That's correct. The Entourage Address Book and Exchange Contacts list
are separate. The same applies to the Entourage Calendar and your
Exchange Calendar. Those are separate too.

Hope this helps!

That's correct. The Entourage Address Book and Exchange Contacts list
Thanks. Sorry for the daft questions. One last dumb one since the
answers were not what I was expecting.

Is it possible then to ever take the calendar and contacts on the
server and somehow, through some other means, to use them to update
the ones in Enourage in My Computer? Or, is there any way to download
the ones on the Exchange Server in archive form for backup purposes or
to later import them into the address book or calendar on my computer
if I stop using Exchange Server since the ones on My Computer will be
out of date?

Definitely!

If you should lose your Exchange account, you want to make sure you do
this prior to removing the account from Entourage:

Change to the Calendar view in Entourage and select the Custom View "All
Events". You can click the column header called "Folder" to sort
everything in your Exchange calendar together. Select all the Exchange
events and drag them onto your local calendar.

Some folks have reported problems with moving more than a few hundred
items this way. You might want to do this in large chunks of several
dozen at a time to avoid problems.

You can follow a similar procedure for your Contacts. Just select them
all in your Exchange account and drag them to your local Address Book.

Hope this helps!

Thanks vet much. I have 2400 contacts- you are right that trying to
all can cause problems, so when trying it I had to do it in chuncks.
