Syncing Entourage 2004 on two computers through iDisk

I am using Entourage 2004 on two computers (PowerMac & Powerbook).
I frequently switch computers and would like to have my Entourage
(calendar, contacts, tasks & projects) synced. Manually copying the
Main Identity folder is a rather inefficient and annoying process.
therefore i'm considering to use iDisk and put the Main Identity in
the Documents folder on the iDisk, leaving an alias in the User Data
folder on both computers. It should work and is very easy to set up.
Has anyone tried this or any experience with syncing through iDisk?

I have not tried using idisk with an alias, but I do carry a portable
usb drive and store an "alias" for my entire "documents" folder,
including the main identity folder. It works fine. You have to first
move the main file to the second disk, then create an alias and move
the alias back to your documents folder. Rename the alias the original
file name and it should be fine. The only problem with using idisk, as
opposed to a portable harddrive, is that you must be online on access
your Entourage info.

Good luck

This will not work. I suggest changing your .mac account to an IMAP account.
This will keep your mail in sync. Next use Paul Berkowitz's scripts:

) Sync Entourage-Address Book 2...synchronizes Entourage and Apple's Address
Book in OS 10.3 (Panther). It has been upgraded to use the new features of
Entourage 2004, but will continue to work as an update in Entourage X as
well.

7) Sync Entourage-iCal synchronizes Entourage 2004 and iCal. It allows you
to maintain Entourage as your centralized Personal Information Manager while
at the same time taking advantage of the direct access provided to iSync,
iChat, iPod, .Mac online, and more by OS X's iCal.
