Folks,
I am involved in planning an application where approximately 10
ruggerdized computers will be used to collect data in the field. The
data is in the form of checklists with yes/no/comments fields. This
data will then need to be transferred to an Access database. I need
suggestions on how to do this. One unit we are considering runs on
Windows CE and theoretically MS Activesync can import the data from
the portable unit to the database. The second option we are
considering, however, runs full-up Windows 2000 and will therefore
have it's own local copy of the DB. How can I automatically upload
new data from this unit to the main DB? I also welcome hardware
suggestions. We are considering the Datamyte Digiform and the
Hammerhead XRT.
thanks very much,
Zenon
