syncing office contacts, calenders to WM5

I purchased and installed the upgrade to office 2007 last night and upgraded
to Vista business today. My WM5 Pocket PC does not sync with with the old
activesync 4.2 (obviously~ it doesn't exist). I did manage to set up the SMS
link but that does not really help me my calender and tasks. Are you
supposed to use the synced folder feaure to get the files to my Pocket PC? I
must be getting old~ it took me 30 minutes just to figure out that outlook
express doesn't exist either. Maybe I am supposed to use the http community
newsgroups. Hopefully someone still uses a newsreader and can help me out.

If you don't get any answer to this here, try one of the Windows Mobile,
Vista or ActiveSync newsgroups.
