Syncing Palm with Exchange Calendar?

Last May there was the following exchange (so to speak...):

That's unfortunately true. Entourage will sync the address book of
whatever account is set as the default.
Exchange for an exchange account and the local one for any other type of
account.

My question is, will this work for the Calendar module of Entourage as well?
I used Entourage locally as a POP3 client, then yesterday I was hooked up to
the Exchange server. When asked about moving over years worth of calendar
events from my local to Exchange calendar I was told to drag them over one
at a time (!!!).

I do, though, have all of my calendar in my Palm, so if the default account
of Entourage is Exchange, will syncing with Entourage move the entire
calendar over to Exchange? That would be excellent. I hesitate to just do it
for fear of losing or duplicating data. (I'll probably select the sync
option that Palm overwrites desktop this one time, just in case, yes?).

Thanks, all.

Hi Andrew,

Yep, the same applies to anything you'd want to sync through
SyncService.

Try the following:
- create a custom view for all your events in the local calendar (eg:
name contains a or name does not contain a)- select all
- use the Move To command to move them to the Excahnge calendar.

That should do the trick.

It would, but you'd probably lose some of the information that doesn't
sync well with a Palm. I wouldn't use this approach.

Well it's not much better in the MidWest. But the big nasty storm we
got here today might help drop the temperature a notch,

Fabulous! That was it. I made a rule and it picked up everything on one pass
(subject does not contain ø). Ahhhhh.

I didn't use the Palm to transfer the calendar, but I do sync with the Palm
so I have it with me (I have a Tungsten E). I've read about a number of the
limitations syncing between Palm and Entourage, and also between Entourage
and Exchange. Will this ever look better? Is there any word how the
forthcoming Entourage will get along with Palm or Exchange? I'll need a new
PDA in the next 6 months; should I want until then to see what's different
with Entourage? Are there websites that review which PDA's work best with
Entourage?

Thanks again for your help.

I'm glad it worked :)
