Syncronizing Data - how to?

Scott McCarthy

I need to take two tables in Microsoft Access and somehow
have access sync data between two username and password
fields between the tables in the same database.

For example, if a username and password is put into the
first table, I need access to automatically populate the
2nd tables username and password. Likewise, if records
are removed from either table, I need access to delete
the data.

Can this be done?

Automatically, without any human effort? No. Automatically, after human
thought and coding? Probably. Easily? No.

But why? What's the underlying business need to replicate data? As you've
already discovered, if you MUST replicate data, you MUST synchronize it to
maintain data integrity.

So, why do you feel you must replicate these two fields? I ask because
there may be alternate approaches to handling your actual business need (not
the technical "how" question you asked).
