Syntex to autopopulate a "text form field" from previous text fiel

form I have a document with a number of text form fields and want to auto
populate them with data in previous text fields within the same doc. What is
the correct syntex formula to do this? I assumed ="Text1" would be placed in
a text field that requires the same text in a previous field.
