system crash in Word

when I try to send a document from Word (in Office 2007 evaluation version)
to my Canon Pixma MP780 fax, the computer crashes completely. The error
report says that is has something to do with the virusprotection, but I don't
think so. Because when I do the same action from Word 97 there's no problem
at all.

Would you copy the complete error message please? Tell us what OS and what
AV you are using please too?

Sorry, i did'nt get any error message, de crash was complete en inmediate
and gives a black screen and a restart. After the restart the system gives
the message: there's been a severe fault in the system and sends a message to
Microsoft.

In addition: Sorry, I'm not familiar with all the English abreviations. My OS
is Windows XP; I don't know what you mean bij AV.

Check with the Canon web site and make sure that you have the latest driver
for the MP780. Then delete and reinstall the new driver for the MP780.

I allready (about twoo weeks ago) downloaded the latest drivers from Canon en
reïnstalled the printer. Still I don't see why its working perfectly in Word
97 and fails in Word 2007. I tried it again in Word 97 and there's no
problem. So I believe the problem is in Word 2007.

Just because it works with W97 doesn't mean it isn't the printer driver that
is incompatible with W2007. Try testing with a different printer to prove
the point.
