System Date

I want to use System date as Consultation done by me on particular date.
How can I?

Just put the default as...

=Date()

To update a value to the current date you can press Ctrl+; This works in
Excel also.

I am trying to build a project which displays caseno, date of consultation,
patient's particulars. I have almost succeeded in this task. only one thing
is disturbing. I am not able to get system date as a date of consultation
even with 'Ctrl+' or 'date( )' expression in default property.

Setting the Default Value of a text box to
Default Value: Date()
works for me.
The keyboard shortcut includes the semi-colon. Press the ctrl and semi-colon
at the same time.
