Sorry to post yet another question but I can't find this in Help and
it (Help) is driving me nuts. (I think Access "Help" is probably an
offence under the Trades Description Act!)

I know you can use functions such as "Date" to return system values.

Is there a list of these somewhere?

I'm particularly interested in getting hold of the systems current
User Name and, if its possible the Users Initials (which I believe are
stored in the Office environment somewhere).

Assuming you mean the network user ID, check
http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0008.htm at "The Access Web" (there's
nothing built into VBA to get this)

As for the initials, again, there's nothing built into VBA to retrieve this.
It's probably stored in the registry somewhere (and there's code at
http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0015.htm to read from the registry), but
I'm afraid I don't know where in the registry it's stored.
