My MS Office XP Pro [Access] went nuts! Will not allow me to view any of my
databases. I get error msgs regarding Work Group Administrator and can not
find System.mdw. I totally removed MS Office, cleaned system and registry.
Re-installed MS Office and it still will not work nor create the System.mdw
file. I tried to "create" and "join"... and still nothing. I never had to
create a work group before as it is only me playing with it. What happened,
how can I fix this and how can I get to my databases????????

Yes sir. I thought about that made sure my system was set up to display
"hidden" files. But, it was fine and still could not locate
system.mdw...anywhere.
Obtained and copied a [System.mdw] file from a computer at work and put it
in both default system directory and the proper c:\Document and
Settings\owner\microsoft.... folder on my pc.
That did not work either as I received almost the same errors reflecting
"administration" priviledges, etc.
All my databases work just fine on the pc's where I am employed.
I installed, about a month ago, Microsoft Service Pack 2. Could that be the
culprit?
