System requirements for MS Office 2007 Home and Student

I have a copy of MS Office 2007 home and student. Microsoft list the system
requirements as: 500mhz processor, 256 mb ram, 1.5 gb hdd, cd or dvd drive,
(dont know why) 1024 x 768 monitor resolution (is this important)?, XP
service pack 2.

I have just bought a small/mini notebook, which does not have an on board cd
or dvd drive, 1.6ghz atom processor. 1gb ram, 60gb hdd, 1024x600 resolution
monitor and XP service pack 3.

Should I load Office 2007 Home and Student? Anyone got any experience of
this programme on a small/mini notebook?

You should be fine but you're going to have to find some alternate way of
loading it since you don't have an optical drive.

Thanks for the straightforward answer. I always wonder why they sell licences
for 3 pc's for antivirus or for MS Office, so having paid for these at least
it looks like I can use the licences.

They sell multiples because a lot of households have multiple computers.
Office HSE is for home use only and is not meant for businesses of any sort.
That suits the needs of many households.
