Tab alignement problem

Since the upgrade to Office 2008 some tabs do not align text properly
anymore in my presentations:
When a new line starts with a tab any further tab in the same line will not
work as supposed. Click on the second tab, the displayed ruler-line does not
align with text properly.
Is there a solution to this behaviour?

I'm not seeing that here, although there were a number of reports of it some
time back. I believe it was corrected in an update. Have you updated Office
2008 since installing it? The 12.1.7 update is current & requires that
Office be at least 12.1.0 in order to apply it.

Run Help> Check for Updates to be sure then repair disk permissions & see if
the problem continues. If that isn't the problem...

Does this happen in all new files? Is this a particular ile you originated
in 2008 or is it a file obtained from another source? If another source,
which version created the file & what file format is it in (.ppt, .pptx)?
What other details can you provide.
