Tab Key not working

Hi,
I am looking for some help.
I have just created an Excel work book using MS office XP Pro and protected
a work sheet.

I have defined a range of fields that any user can input data, however on
this work sheet the Tab key will not allow the user to tab to the next
field.

Any suggestions on haw to get the tab key to function

How have you defined the fields? By Tools>Protection>Allow users to edit
ranges?

Or by unlocking certain cells then protecting the sheet?

When Protecting sheet perhaps you don't have a checkmark in "allow users of
this worksheet to: select unlocked cells"
