Tab key

How1

The users of my database prefer to use the tab key to sequence through the
fields when entering data into a form. The current sequence skips fields. How
do you alter the order of sequence of the tab function.

Please advise.

How1,

Open your form in design view.

Then, select View - Tab Order from the main menu. This will list all of the
controls on your form in the order that they were created. Access will put
them in the order it thinks they belong in (left->right, top->bottom) if you
click the AutoOrder button, or you can select your own order by moving the
controls.

If you have not given your controls meaningful names, you will definately
want to do so after you go through this drill once.

Make sure when opening the TabOrder dialog box that you have the appropriate
section of your form selected, usually *Detail*
