tab leaders

Kent

Sorry, if this is the wrong group.

Using Word 2000, is it possible to get spaces inserted
\"within\" a tab leader, e.g., \". . . .\" instead of
\"....\"?

Thank you very much.

Hi Kent

Sorry, no. The four choices you see in the Format > Tabs dialog are
all you get.

Sure. Select the tab character, go to Format | Font, and expand the spacing
by the amount needed to get the effect you want. This will have to be done
just once, for the first tab character, then use Ctrl+Shift+C and
Ctrl+Shift+V to copy and paste the formatting or just copy/paste the
formatted tab itself. It would be best to do this after editing is complete
to avoid the risk of the formatting being propagated to subsquent text. It
would appear that you can save the formatted tab as an AutoText entry.
