Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) When I tab to start a new paragraph and number it such as 1. and skip a space, when the line is full and it starts a new line, the whole two lines drop down below the number of the paragraph and I can't bring it back up. it looks like this:

1.
hhhhhhhdfjqhfjqfhefjhqeeqjhqfhfehqeghgjhqjhsjghhsqghgsehsqgehghg
poesqegqsegisgsqigusiuiseuseugseugiugeiugeugeuesueiseuggues

Since there is no space between the letters, Word choses to break the
line where there is a space between the "." and first "h". With normal
words and space it would do a pageination line break at a more normal place.

That being said, why are you entering a tab to start a new paragraph.
The better way in Word to do this would be to define the style for the
paragraph to be a) indented by how much you want, and b) apply a number
to the start of that paragraph.
