tab not working in protected sheet

At first I want to tell you that I´m using a swedish language version of
Excel 2003.

My problem is this: If I protect my worksheet and allow some cells to be
edited I´ve learned (and used in earlier versions of Excel) that the
tabulator button would move my selection to the next editable cell. But when
I press tab nothing happens. If I remove the protection the tab function is
working again.

I have also tried to do the same thing in another new document without
success.

Is this a problem in the swedish version or does anyone have another
explanation/solution to my problem?

Tools => Protection => Worksheet then check SELECT locked cells

No, thats not it. I already had both my locked and unlocked cells selected.

I did find the solution though after surfing the Internet. In my cell
preferences all the cells where automatically "locked". If I removed the lock
the tab function started to work again. I did this by selecting all the cells
I wanted to be able to tab to. Then Table => Cells... => Protection =>
Uncheck Locked.

If anyone else get the same problem I hope this will work for you to.
