Tab/Shift-Tab to indent stopped working

At one point, my ability to hit tab and shift-tab to indent a bulleted/
numbered list just stopped working on me. I'm unable to find a
solution in Word's help or on Google. Does anyone know who to
reactivate this feature? It's driving me nuts that I have to hit the
indent and deindent buttons when I'm trying to take notes.

Thanks to both of you. I tried this earlier, but it didn't want to
cooperate. It works now, however.

That's McGhie's version of PDF (Preferences Distortion Field)
It's like quantum tunnelling. It works instantaneously over enormous
distances. You'll need a tinfoil hat for your Mac next.
