Table Borders Question

R

RobM

How do I keep the borders of a table that spans mutliple pages to

appear both under the last row of the page and above the top row of the

next page. One or the other are always missing. I have 'Allow row to

break across multiple pages" checkmarked due to the height of some of

the rows (from translation). I need to keep this on and hope there is

another answer besides turning that feature off

Many thanks

Hi Rob,

Actually, Andre's solution will not do what you need.

The easiest way, IMHO, is to place the cursor anywhere in your table, then
from Format, Borders & Shading, select the Borders tab. Select a border
colour, thickness and style. Finally apply a border to the top and bottom
edges of the preview table in the Preview section on the right hand side.
Make sure not to appply a border to the "in-between" horizontal line or you
will get a border between every row, which is not what you want, I think!

From the "Format" menu, click "borders & shading" and under page borders
tab, select the border you desire and in the "apply to" drop down list
select "This Section".

Hope this helps
