Table Borders

I am creating a company handbook in word, I have a lot of
tables in this document - alot of the rows are breaking
across pages this is fine however every time a row breaks
across a page I lose the top table border on the next page

Is there something I can do so that will not happen?

Not that I know of. You can, of course, change the setting so rows do not
break across pages, but this may lead to unacceptable white space.

Go to the table, select the top row and go to Table > Heading Rows repeat.
Then, if your table breaks across to a second page by itself (i.e. if you
don't insert a manual page break) the heading rows will repeat on subsequent
pages.
You will need to do this for each table.

This would be a good place for a "cleanup" macro that would run through the
doc and fix all these at once. I have made macros that called others as
needed for cleaning up program output, etc.
