Table cells

Anyone know a good way of easily shifting the position of the edge of a cell
so that it lines up with the others? Occasionally I have a cell which is
fractionally wider or narrower than those above or below it and it can take
quite a time to make it the same. There must be a better way than the
fiddle-around I use.

Try this:
First select the first column. Use Table --> Properties --> Column tab and
setting Preferred width and set the width.
You can go from column to column with Next Column and Previous Column.
As you change the preferred width the columns should change. You may have to
go back and forth through the columns to get them the way you want.
You can also use the Percentage setting and set them to relative sizes, i.e.
each column specifying a percent of the table width.
Good luck.
