table disappear when open with lower version of MS word

i used MS Word 2000 to create document with tables in it,
but when i open the document with MS word 97 , the tables
disappeared ,in word 97 , its data display in new line
without the tables, instead my original data is in each
colunm in the tables..anybody can advise..much appreciate..
