Hi,
Using Access 2000 on windows 2000. When I run a routine which is a few
lines of code to import one DBF into another DBF (one is part of an MDB
file) I get the error Could not update; currently locked. This routine
worked previously but stopped for no obvious reason. I also tried to copy
the 700 records manually but received the same message. However, copying
200 records at a time from one DBF and using paste to update the other table
worked. The issue seems size related but having compressed the files in the
hope this was an issue, I now am at a loss to the issue.
The MDB and DBF files are on a network but no one else was using or logged
into the Access files.
Many thanks for any pointers you may be able to suggest. Rob
