Table for xml export

I created a simple table using the wizard and inserted
linked columns. I linked some entries to jpeg pictures.
I exported as xml with data, schema and presentation
options selected.

The xml file only displayed text in IE. The htm file
displayed the table, but no working links. However, the
text of the link path was added to the cell text.

I also exported as html. Some of the cells displayed and
the links worked.

Creating a simple table is about my level in Access.

My question. Is there a proper way to create a data base
so that the table is displayable in IE and the links work.
