Table/Form Design

Hello,
I'm trying to wrap my head around this. Currently I have database that
tracks our incoming test for our office. When tests are entered into the
database, one of the fields is for the student whom is to take the test.
Well there could be multiple students. So, what would be the best way to
accomplish this ? I was thinking having a command button on the main form
that would open a popup, but not sure how accomplish all of this with linking
records and all.

You need *THREE* tables:

Students
StudentID <primary key>
LastName
FirstName
<other biographical data>

Tests
TestNo <primary key>
TestName
<other info about the test itself>

TestResults
StudentID <link to Students>
TestNo <link to Tests>
DateTaken
<other info about this student's outcome on this test>


You would use a Form based on either the Students table (if you want to see
which tests a student has taken) or on the Tests table (vice versa) - or both!
- with a Subform based on TestResults.
