I am writing what has now become a large procedure manual
in Word 2000 and I describe many instructional steps in it
using tables. When I began writing, I used the Table Auto
Format screen to modify one of the table styles slightly
to how I wanted it to look and then I saved it. When I
needed more tables in my document, I subsequently copied
and pasted the one I had just done. There have been no
real problems until recently.
Today, I was going through my document and noticed that
all the table formatting in many of (but not all) my
tables had disappeared. The table itself was still there
because it still behaved as a table should (I could select
rows and so forth). Can anyone tell me why this is
happening, and what I can do about it? It is quite a time
consuming task to go through a 77 page document and change
the formatting of dozens of tables! Thanks!
