table formatting issue

I am working with a table in a document that was created
by someone else. The table is formatted all wrong and it
jumps around the page. When I take it out and format it,
it works just fine. When I try to paste it back into the
document, it falls apart again.

Suggestions?

Hi Bob,

Initially, the table would not ALLOW me to format it in
the current document. The only way I could format was to
format in a new doc and then attempt to paste back in. I
ended up recreating the table, which I know was
inefficient. Thanks for your response!
