Table formatting

Jan P.

I'm trying to use a table that takes up the whole page.
There seems to be one blank line outside the table that I
can't get rid of which is preventing me from getting my
table to end up near the bottom of the page. When I get
the last row of the table to line up where I want it, I
automatically get a second page (which is blank). Can
anyone tell me how to fix that?

Word requires a normal text paragraph at the end of a document, even if it
is empty, because the last paragraph mark in the document holds the
document-level formatting. If you display nonprinting characters (Ctrl+*),
you can see this paragraph mark. You cannot delete it, but you can make it
very small (1 point) or Hidden, which will make it pull up to the previous
page or disappear when you again hide nonprinting characters.

Place the cursor on the second page, then press back space until it goes up
to the previous page, it should automatically delete the new page created,
try not press too fast or it will probably delete any text on the previous
page.

Hi Jan,

As Suzanne says, you have to have a para after the table, and decreasing
it's font size to 1pt will minimise its height. The other thing to do with
that para is to make sure it's formatted with 0 leading and trailing spaces.

Cheers
