In Word 2007, is there a setting so that table gridlines are visible
in every document? Thanks,

Ross

When the cursor is in a table, the Table Tools tab appears on the ribbon with
two tabs below it. Click the Layout tab, and turn on the View Gridlines button.
It should stay selected until you explicitly turn it off.
