Table header not repeating

I have read a few threads in the group describing the same problem I'm
having.

In Word 2003, the table header is not repeating on subsequent pages. I have
read replies by Suzanne S. Barnhill and I have all the settings as she
described:

Print layout view
No manual page breaks
Heading rows repeat

Still no cigar.

I read a post from Jan Rauter back in December and he said "problem solved"
but without describing the solution.

I'd appreciate some help, thanks.

Is the row marked as the heading row the first row in the table? Is the
table actually a single table? That is, if you select a column, does it
select it all the way down? If not, you may be dealing with a situation that
can occur all too commonly, both with text pasted from the Web and with
ordinary tables you create yourself: if a part of the table has become
wrapped, then the table, even though it appears to be continuous (no empty
paragraph between sections) is actually more than one table. Check the part
of the table where the heading is not repeating and make sure that wrapping
is set to None (Table tab of Table Properties).

"Un" wrapping fixed it. Text wrapping seems to be the default.

Thanks....

Note that I'm not talking about wrapping text in the cells (which *is* the
default) but wrapping text around the table, which is certainly *not* the
default.
