Table Header Shading

C

Cyndi B.

I am using a Word template that allows me to create
tables, however I would like the header row of the table,
by default to have 15% gray shading. Is there anyway to
accomplish this? Is there a macro I can write that will
do this? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

If you have Word 2002 or above, you can create a custom Table AutoFormat,
including shading in the heading row(s). In earlier versions, you'll have to
save a sample table as an AutoText entry.

You still haven't said what version of Word you have, so it's hard to say.
I'm sure you can change the tables, but if you want to change the operation
of the button, you may need to get the author of the custom template to
incorporate the change.

I am using Word 2002 with SP2. I have already talked to
the auther of the custom template but he will only change
the operation of the button for a fee. I am trying to
work around having to pay him.
