Table Hierarchy Smart Art and bulleted comments

I am using the Table Hierarchy smart art, and want to place bullets on
some of my comments inside the smart art. I have used Ctrl+Shft+L, and also
looked in the ribbon as well as the mini-toolbar, but the keyboard shortcut
just shifts to the left (as in Ctrl+L), and the bulleted list option is
greyed out in the ribbon and toolbar. Is there any way to format text inside
smart art as bulleted points?

I think you will have to pick a SmartArt which already has bullet formatting
applied. Word styles cannot be used within SmartArts.

OK Stefan I can live with that. One thing I just love about SmartArt is that
you can easily switch from one instance to another. I noticed that some
examples had bullets, and just assumed that you could insert those in any
other as well. OK thanks for setting me straight there.

N/p. One thing I realized I could do in SmartArt (in the graphics that
didn't allow for bulleted lists) was just to go into the Symbol option in
the ribbon, and look for the symbol that was a dot midway up the line. Word
just thinks its "text" (a symbol) and I get what I want. Copying and pasting
keeps it on the clipboard for quick later uses as well.
