table importing

Have designed a database in Acess 2000 sometime ago. Database has worked
great and now am upgrading it. Have been trying to import a table from the
original version to the new version. The import never completes and what I
believe to some kind of a temp fil appears. This file is labeled
Access.LockFile.9
This table and its' contents are crucial to the database but I am unabel to
transfer it over. No tables, queries, or anything else have been locked.
Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I was able to make the import work after copacting and repairing the original
database.
