Table in Word 2003.

How do you lock a cell size, height and width, from expanding in Word 2003.
The cell space for data entry needs to be limited. Currently the document
allows each cell to expand allowing the document to move onto a page 2, which
is unacceptable.

Appreciate your help.

From the Tables menu, select Table Properties and the go to the Row tab and
set the height of the row to an exact figure, then on the Columns tab, check
the preferred width box.

And you'll also need to keep the table from auto resizing. This can be done
from Options on the Table tab of Table Properties or using Table | AutoFit |
Fixed Column Width.

Select the entire table. On the Table menu, click Table
Properties. Click the Table tab, and click Options. Clear the option to
"Automatically resize to fit contents" and click OK. On the Row tab,
check "Specify height", and then choose "Exactly" for "Row height is".
Type the desired amount. On the Column tab, check "Preferred width" and
specify the desired amount. Click OK to close the Table Properties
dialog box.
