Table Linking problem between Access and Outlook 2003

I know how to link data sources and Outlook as “Tables†in Access. In this
case it’s not working as expected.

Today I am developing on a single computer in a small office (no network),
running Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Office 2003.
For some reason when I go to File / Get External Data / Link Tables. In
the Link dialogue box I set my “Files of Type;†to “Outlook†and get my next
dialogue box; the “Link Exchange/Outlook Wizardâ€. The “Personal Foldersâ€
will not expand to show the underlying folders, such as Inbox. I can link
Contacts, but no email folders. Same results when I select Exchange in my
“Files of Type†option above.

Thinking that it was maybe this one machine, I discovered exactly the same
limitation on another single computer in a small office (no network), running
Windows XP Professional and Microsoft Office 2007.

Then I pulled out a laptop which is running Vista with Office 2003. The
laptop Access / Outlook relationship works perfectly! I have compared every
setting that I can think of, but can’t determine why Access 2003 on the first
and second machines have the limitation.
