Table links do not get updated

I'm having a problem with our proprietary software where table links do not
get updated automatically under Windows XP. This doesn't happen with all
Windows XP systems but I now see it happening on two laptops. The software
is built on VB6 with an access backend. There are two links that point to
local .dbf files that get updated with a new location when necessary. This
is handled automatically. On the two problematic laptops, the links do not
get updated thus I need to update them manually. Any ideas what could be
causing this?

I don't see how anyone here could help since this seems to be a VB6
application code issue. I expect you need to modify your "proprietary
software".

Let us know if I am wrong.
