Table margins moving mysteriously

M

Melanie

I have a problem with the margins of the table: when I
drag the left margin to one direction, the right margin
moves - symmetrically and in the same time - in the other
direction. The same problem is when I try to position the
right margin. This way I can not position independently
those two margins of my table. More to say, few days ago I
could do it without any problem. I'm using Word 2000. Does
anyone have any idea what is going on ? Thank you .

I'm sorry I posted twice, but I logged in from 2 different locations:

http://www.microsoft.com/office/com...?dg=microsoft.public.word.tables&lang=en&cr=U

and

http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...SLCID=US&ICP=GSS3&sd=GN&id=fh;en-us;newsgroup

When I posted the message first time from the second address, instead seeing my message posted I got the reply: "There is no message with ID specified in this newsgroup" and my message just wasn't there. The same message I still see now if I go to the second address. Both addresses point to the same group discussions, but they have different layouts ....???

Those pages are two different portals to the same thing, which is a Usenet
newsgroup (microsoft.public.word.tables). Sometimes messages posted through
these portals don't show up as quickly as those posted directly to the
msnews server. If you are interested, it is easy to set up Outlook Express
to read the newsgroups directly (and a lot easier to search for messages);
