Table of authorities

I inserted table of authorites and now I cannot get the
paragraph sign off the pages and it defaults to this
format on every document I want to turn it back off!!!

When you insert a TA field, it is formatted as Hidden text. Word toggles on
the display of nonprinting characters so that you can see the TA field. You
can toggle them off by pressing Ctrl+* or by clicking the Show/Hide ¶ button
on the Standard toolbar or by clearing the All check box on the View tab of
Tools | Options. For some reasons why you might want to be able to see
nonprinting characters, see
