Table of Contents in word

I have 17 separate word documents. Each of these documents has their
own table of contents. I have copied and pasted all these separate
TOCs into 1 table of contents to creat a Master table of contents.
When I try to print this I keep getting bookmark errors where the
numbering is. Is there any way to print the TOC while keeping the
original page numbers in place.

Thanks Adorée

Try creating a master document with only the TOC in it. That will
give you a TOC for all 17 docs and you can choose to retain your page
numbers.

Shauna Kelly has directions on her website for creating a table of
contents that pulls entries from several documents:

You will find that Word experts generally advise avoiding the master
document feature as it tends to corrupt documents.
