I've got a problem creating a table of contents. I'd like to create the
TOC as a separate document to avoid the problem I'm having, but I can't
figure out how to do that or even if it's possible. Every time I try I get
"Bookmark not defined."
I've marked each of the headings for my TOC (cntrl+shift+O) and then
everything I've read says to insert it on the page I want it inserted on.
This would work in theory, but I need the TOC page to be numerated as page
ii and then the first page of my introduction numbered page 1.
So even if I moved the text of my introduction down one page, I'd need
to deal with the pagination of my document and I don't see a way to tell
Word to paginate the document the exact way I want it done rather than their
preset options. I also need to insert an abstract before page one that would
have to be numerated as page iii and need to deal with how to tell Word to
do that as well.
Can anybody help me on this one?
