Hello experts:
T of C's seem prone to glitches: (97/2000)
All looks okay, then you close and open doc, and all page
numbers in table are "0" or all "1";
Open doc, table is okay, poke around in doc a little,
return to table of contents page -- all numbers are "7"
from a given heading on; close and open doc and the
correct page numbers are back;
etc. -- some of these were reported by others; some I've
seen.
Have any of the following been found to cause these type
of glitches -- :
1. "Page break before" in Heading 1 style;
2. Hard page break at the point of a Heading 1 para;
3. The setting "Background Repagination";
4. Using the hyperlink feature of the t of c to jump to a
page -- I noticed it puts down a hidden bookmark in the
table.
Thanks for any help clearing this up.

My solution for a misbehaving table is: delete t of c;
delete all hidden bookmarks; insert new t of c -- is this
the best way?
