Hi Kevin
If I've understood correctly I believe the problem isn't
the style but the tab spacing.
Tell me if I'm wrong but it sounds like the text indent
tab for all TOC styles is at 0.97"
This is ok for Title and Chapter but the bug starts to
appear when the space between the last number and the
indented text reduces below a set amount.
Try maintaining a set tab spacing between the last number
and the indented text e.g.
Tab for Title is at 1"
Tab for Chapter is at 1.25"
Tab for Section heading is at 1.5" etc
If all else fails select the TOC and press CTRL + Q, this
will reset the paragraph formatting to it's specified
style parameters and remove the extra tabs
Hope this helps
