Table of Contents / Word VBA

I am building a report that
has several appendices.

Each appendix has its own
table of contents.

The report uses a page
numbering scheme as follows:
<Appendix Letter><page>

I need the page to show up in
the table of contents as "A4"
instead of just "4".

How can I adjust the page format
in the section -OR- how can adjust
the field code for the table of contents
to produce the correct result?

This is the field code I am using for the TOC:

{ TOC \h \b AppendixA \t BEA2 }

Word can only include "chapter" information with a page number (including in
the TOC) when you use one of the built-in Heading styles, and include
numbering as part of the style.

So, if the Appendix "titles" are formatted with Heading 1, and "A", "B", "C"
(numbering using a capital Roman letter) etc. are part of Heading 1, then you
can set the Page numbering (Insert/Page Number/Format) to include the
numbering from the Heading style.

Only in this case will the TOC be able to pick it up.
