I posted this question on 7/16 in the Document Management
Newsgroup and other questions have come and gone, so I
worried I didn't post in the right group. I don't want to
multi-post, so maybe there is not an answer to this
request. I will try here in formatting.longdocs and hope
for understanding and an answer.

The TOC in my document looks like this:

I. Purpose and Need...............................I-1

I wondered if there was a way to have it look like this:

I. Purpose and Need...............................1-1

I cannot find a way in customizing my headings to make the
Chapter numbers on the right come out as regular numbers
and still keep the Roman Numerals. I'm using Office XP.

AFAIK, the TOC always picks up the page numbers actually printed on the page
(except when they're calculated). If you have I-1 on the page, then I don't
think you can get 1-1 in the TOC.
